Welcome to our site where guidance is offered to everyone . . . .

Full Stop 2 Bullying first started when I was a 6th former.  For years I had wanted to do something to help other victims of bullying and finally I was given that opportunity.
Sadly my original website full of poems, advice and survivors stories was deleted by AOL so after months of re-planning and re-grouping I felt it best to get something back on here for anyone who may need a little advice.
This website will be a growing concern so please hang in there whilst we chop and change just to make it right!

Thank you,

This web site is dedicated to the memory of Laura Elisabeth Rhodes who tragically ended her life following years of torment at the hands of bullies.  Laura was just 13 years old when she passed away on the  6th of September 2004, her untimely death affecting so many who loved her dearly. Life for those who are left behind can never be the same again.  It is our hope that this site will offer help in some small way to ensuring that no family will ever have to go through the pain and suffering that Laura's dear parents Yvonne & Mike have had to endure. Mike and Yvonne are happy to try to offer guidance and help to those who are affected by bullying in the hope that no other parents will have to face the tragedy that they have faced. They miss their beloved Laura each and every day of their lives and care so very much about the welfare of children and the need for children everywhere to learn in a safe, caring environment.

 Hi,

I'm Gemma and I have run FS2B for about 8 years.  Bullying is something can effect each and everyone of us.  We can get bullied as youngsters, or in the workplace or we we can have children who are bullied.  Bullying can effect everyone around them.  In recent months we have seen the different forms bullying can take, physical, verbal, cyber & happy slapping.  Sadly if bullying isn't stopped as soon as possible it can progress to workplace bullying, domestic violence and much more.

So what is bullying?

According to Wikipedia bullying is :

Bullying is a form of abuse. It comprises of repeated acts over time that involves a real or perceived imbalance of power with the more powerful individual or group abusing those who are less powerful. The power imbalance may be social power and/or physical power. The victim of bullying is sometimes referred to as a target.

Bullying consists of three basic types of abuse - emotional verbal & physical. Bullying can be defined in many different ways. Although the UK currently has no legal definition of bullying, some US states have laws against it.

Bullying can occur in any context in which human beings interact with each other. This includes school, church, the workplace, home and neighborhoods. Basically bullying can happen anywhere at anytime.

The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) defines bullying as:

“Behaviour by an individual or group, usually repeated over time, that intentionally hurts another individual or group, either physically or emotionally.”

Bullying can take many forms: from teasing and spreading rumours to pushing someone around and causing physical harm. It often happens in front of other people.

It includes name calling, mocking, kicking, taking belongings, writing or drawing offensive graffiti, messing around with people’s belongings, gossiping, excluding people from groups, and threatening others.

According to a child Bullying is :

Hurtful . . . .
